As we know, Samsung has been working on a foldable smartphone and now Galaxy X1 and Galaxy X1 Plus have been leaked on Weibo. With the model numbers SM-X9000 and SM-X9050 respectively, both these foldable devices are expected to come soon. And according to previous rumors, the device is said to be unveiled in 3rd or 4th quarter of 2017.
According to posts, these handsets will come with Android 6.0.1 and Android 7.1.1 Operating system respectively. We do not have any other information on the Galaxy X1 and Galaxy X1 Plus devices, but we can expect more and more details to be unveiled soon.
We also know that Samsung bagged patents for flexible display by the U.S Patent and Trademark office. The South Koren Giant has also applied a patent for foldable smartphones that expected to come with a design with a hinge in the center. It will also feature 16:9 aspect ratio. The patent sketches also revealed that the device has a bendable section in the middle which lets its user fold the smartphone like a flip phone.
We are expecting many devices to come this year from Samsung which includes Galaxy A5 (2017), Galaxy A3 (2017) , Galaxy A7 (2017), Galaxy S8 and many other devices. We are not sure about the Note series, after the series of blasts we have seen with the Note 7. We can also expect the Samsung Galaxy S8 Edge also to be unveiled along with S8.
Earlier we have seen the Samsung Galaxy Folder and Folder 2 Smartphones which are clamped phones. The Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 features a 3.8-inch WVGA display, and there is a quad-core Snapdragon 425 chipset with a clocking speed of 1.4GHz coupled with 2GB of RAM. The device will feature a 1950 mAh battery that is rated at 318 hours of standby, and the device measures 122 x 60.2 x 15.4mm and weighs 160 grams.
